Pfizer is committed to expanding education and increasing public awareness surrounding metastatic breast cancer. In addition to researching and developing new treatments for metastatic breast cancer, Pfizer Oncology has partnered with advocates and patients to begin a dialogue that will help tackle the challenges faced by this disease together.
Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer Takes Support
The emotional toll of metastatic disease can be profound, and can affect how people feel about themselves, communicate with others, and live their lives. Along with our partners, we believe that we can do more to educate about the current gaps in conversations about metastatic breast cancer and help empower those living with the disease to play a more active role in understanding their prognosis and their options for treatment.
There is an unyielding consensus among healthcare professionals, patients, the advocacy community and Pfizer that women living with metastatic breast cancer should be part of the larger breast cancer dialogue, and receive the support and information they need. To accomplish that goal, we have undertaken the Breast Cancer: A Story Half Told initiative to understand and address gaps in breast cancer dialogue across audiences.
